Janet "Sue" Dykstra

Janet “Sue” Dykstra passed away on May 7, 2019 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.  We mourn the loss of our dear mother, sister and friend.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11:00 on Saturday, May 18 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham, Minnesota.

Janet Sue Dykstra was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa on June 20, 1940 to Ferman and Sadie (Byrd) Steward.  She was the youngest of three children.  Her kind heart and mischievous nature left an impression in every community she called home and on everyone she met along her life’s path.   Sue made lifelong friends in Jackson, Montevideo, Fargo and Perham.

All of us who had the opportunity to be her friend and the few that had God’s blessing to be her “family” were truly blessed to have been touched by such a beautiful soul.  Her loving spirit and her unending love was felt by so many.

If you knew Sue, it is a certainty she loved you.  Her love was accepting and complete.  It didn’t matter to Sue who you were or where you were from, she loved you completely and would give you everything she had if you needed help.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Jeffrey and David; and her brother Maurice.  She is survived by her beloved son Michael and her brother Richard.

Those of us that knew and loved her will go forward on life’s journey with the example she gave us and the knowledge that we were truly touched by one of God’s Angels.
